As Adrian Peterson has noted that the child in picture with him on the football field is not the son who recently passed away we have removed the picture from our original post. Sides2Truth apologizes for any misrepresentation that was unintentional.
Sadly, we’ve heard these stories all too often. Mother has a child. Father and Mother of child are no longer together. Father takes cares of child who lives with Mother. Mother takes up with another man who acts more like a child than the child. Mother’s boyfriend becomes jealous; he kills the child.
One can only assume what the relationship was like between Adrian Peterson’s Mother and her boyfriend. Yet the fact that this boy’s father plays for the NFL could have been an insecurity that drove this man’s behavior: “Adrian Peterson has way more than I do and at any time he can say come and she will leave me.” So what better way to end that relationship by killing the very thing that linked them; his son.
Insecurity and jealously is a dangerous combination, especially in relationships between men and women. Once it is detected, a choice is in desperate need of being made. Too many times we believe we can change someone; our unconditional love is all that is needed and he or she will “stop” mistreating us or our loved ones. Untrue. People are who they are. Recognize and move forward with the following:
1. Be very mindful when allowing anyone into your home, especially when you barely know who he or she is.
2. A great feeling about a man or woman should be a point of learning who this person is instead of giving out the key to your place.
Rest in peace little man; we will strive to do better.
When it rains, it pours. Chad Johnson lost his job, his tv show, and his so-called wife of 41 days, Evelyn Lozada, who filed for divorce after the alledged domestic abuse; all in one fell swoop. Interestingly he still loves her very much; and clearly she loves a man’s money ’till it’s gone. Maybe Johnson’s ego prevented him from believing that she would to that to him. Lozada, cast member of VH1’s Basketball Wives is the former long-time fiance of retired NBA player Antoine Walker; seemingly easing out of that situation as soon as his career was over. See a trend here?
In the words of Dr. Maya Angelou, “When someone shows you who they are…believe them.” To be fair one must apply this to Evelyn Lozada as well. Both were clear about who each was to each other; outer beauty meets inner bank account. Hopefully Lozada will understand that a man is not a plan for financial security; and Johnson will learn that his purpose should be attached to something more meaningful than a pretty face.
Oh well, par for the course.
